Where can I get support?

As a young person and as an Emergency Services Cadet, you have several services available to you to help you with any issue you may have.  Some of these services are listed below.

Cadet Related Issues

These are any issues that have impacted on you as a result of attending cadets or as a result of something that has happened at a cadet activity.  You can:

If you feel that you need further support regarding a cadet related issue you are able to access the Department’s EMbrace Program.  Either face-to-face or telephone counselling can be organised through the EMbrace program.  To contact someone from EMbrace:

As a young person, there are many issues that affect your life and it can help to share these concerns with someone you trust, no matter how big or how small the problem may seem.

If you are not sure whether your issue is cadet related or personal, then either phone the EMbrace Program on 1300 309 508 or email emqembrace@emergency.qld.gov.au and we will point you in the right direction to get help.  Alternatively, you can always phone your regional Youth Development Officer (see back of booklet for contact details) who may also be able to assist with services available in your local area.  See the Cadet Support Program Poster for further clarification.
