The Minister
Mr Roberts served as Parliamentary Secretary in a number of portfolios including Education, Employment and Training, Families and Disability Services, State Development and Innovation and Treasury and Infrastructure, before being sworn in as Minister for Emergency Services on 10 July 2007. Mr Roberts has participated in Parliamentary Trade Delegations to Japan and South Korea (2001 and 2005) and led a Parliamentary delegation to Malaysia, Singapore and Papua New Guinea in 2008. In 2006 he participated in a business study tour of China. Mr Roberts has lived in Banyo for more than 40 years. He is married to Jenny and together they have two daughters. Mr Roberts’s interests include spending time with his family, reading and current affairs. In his early twenties, he travelled and worked in New Zealand, England and Europe.
