Mackay North
Mackay North Cadet Group is sponsored by the Mackay SES and YAP [Youth Action Program] and is in the Mackay Shire. There are 26 cadets in the group – 20 Male and 2 Female, with 2 adult members plus SES Adult support.
This is a YAP group who are very dedicated to the Community Service side of training and skills. They provide tireless support with school based activities such as: Communications for cross country and walkathons, and setting up equipment for fetes and fundraisers. The teachers involved overcome difficulties with timetables and staffing problems to deliver an excellent program. The group meets on Monday afternoons.
