Middlemount
Middlemount Cadet Group is sponsored by the Middlemount SES and is in the Broadsound Shire. There are 8 cadets in the group, 5 male and 3 female, and 7 adult members.
Middlemount and Moranbah were the first cadet units formed in the Mackay District. They will celebrate their 10th anniversary early in 2005. This group is currently reorganising with the pending resignation of current Cadet Coordinator and a new female coordinator is expected to be appointed in the near future. The Unit has close association with other Emergency Services within the community and support from local SES Group.
Training is a regular routine event for this cadet group and they are not averse to looking at new concepts and styles of delivery regarding training activities. The group meets each Wednesday evening.
