Moranbah
The Moranbah Cadet Group is sponsored by the Moranbah SES and is in the Belyando Shire. There are 12 cadets – 9 males and 3 females - and 3 adult members.
Moranbah cadets will celebrate their 10th anniversary early in 2005. With a relatively new coordinator they are finding their feet and settling into their roles and responsibilities quite well. The group is becoming more familiar with the Cadet Program Operating Policy Manual and training programs. The Cadet Coordinator is willing to adopt new and stimulating activities to hold the Cadets attention and it is hoped to recruit new staff in the near future. The group meets every other Tuesday evening.
This unit is looking to recruit new adult leaders and then Cadets. Numbers are very low at the moment but it is hope that numbers will improve as the year progresses. The Moranbah cadet group have planned to visit the local emergency service centres and will also assist at the Moranbah Festival.
