Moura
Moura Cadet Group have operated since 1983. Currently there are 19 Cadets at Moura who are supported by 5Adult Leaders. Moura is located about 2 hours drive south west of Rockhampton in Central Queensland. The Cadets Train each Monday evening at the SES Training Facility on the Dawson Highway, about 2 klm East of Moura.
The Moura district depends on coal mining, cattle, agriculture and associated service industries for income. This district is typical of central Queensland rural landscapes with many picturesque scenes and an easygoing rural type lifestyle.
Moura Cadets are involved in community activities such as the Coal Festival as well as other activities such as the ANZAC Day March.
As well the cadets undertake weekly training around the SES Curriculum. This includes such things as scenarios and weekend camps.
