Cooroora

The Emergency Services Cadet Group meets on a Wednesday afternoon (during school terms) between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Cooroora Cadets provide young people with a fun and safe place to be in Pomona. Training is at the State High School in Pomona, in Summit Road and involves activities and training that builds skills to better equip Cadets for community life.

If you think you’d like to try your hand at field-craft, general rescue, or map reading and navigation to name only a few activities, then the Cooroora Cadet Group may be just the thing you are looking for. For further information please contact the Youth Development Officer in your region.

The 6 volunteer Adult Members and 32 Cadets enjoy training that involves various aspects of emergency services training and most of the Cadets are involved with sport and other community events in town.

The Cooroora group is a Youth Action Program (YAP) group and as such can only recruit students who attend Noosa District State High School, from either Cooroy or Pomona Campuses.
