Hervey Bay
Hervey Bay may be the place to watch the whales, but it also offers something very special to young people in and around the area - the Hervey Bay Emergency Services Cadet Group.
Hervey Bay boasts an active group that participates in all sorts of activities such as; visiting police and marine rescue boats, participating in SES Week and testing your new found skills and knowledge at the end of year 3 day camp. Hervey Bay Cadets is the place to be on a Wednesday night from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the SES Headquarters.
The 5 volunteer Adult Members and 26 Cadets enjoy training that involves all aspects of emergency services training and most of the Cadets are involved with sport and other community groups in town.
If you think you’d like to try your hand at field-craft, general rescue, or map reading and navigation to name only a few activities, then the Hervey Bay Cadet Group may be just the thing you are looking for. For further information please contact the Youth Development Officer in your region.
