Maroochydore
Whilst the Sunshine Coast may be known for a whole lot of sun, sand and surf, it also boasts the biggest Emergency Services Cadet Group in the North Coast Region.
On a Monday evening between 6.30pm and 8.30pm at the local SES Headquarters, you’ll find a group of dedicated Cadets having great fun whilst learning exciting new skills.
Want to look around a $500,000 fire truck and see what it is capable of? How about trying out your new rescue skills on the skills challenge camp? If you join the Maroochydore Group you’ll be able to do all this and more.
Maroochydore Emergency Services Cadets provide young people with a fun and safe place to be in Nambour and district. The Maroochydore Cadet Group offers activities and training that builds skills to better equip Cadets for community life.
If you think you’d like to try your hand at field-craft, general rescue, or map reading and navigation to name only a few activities, then the Maroochydore Cadet Group may be just the thing you are looking for. For further information please contact the Youth Development Officer in your region.
The 20 volunteer Adult Members and 44 Cadets enjoy training that involves various aspects of emergency services training and most of the Cadets are involved with sport and other community groups in town.Last updated 23 June 2009
