Welcome to CHEM Services' website, a source of information on the safe management of hazardous materials. CHEM Services is a branch of the Emergency Management Queensland Division (EMQ) of the Department of Emergency Services (DES). Our mission is to improve safety for all Queenslanders, from chemical hazards. We have Advisors who monitor industries that handle all types of chemicals; who train inspectors from Local Government and other agencies and also train staff in industry to ensure safe management of chemicals in order to reduce risk to Queenslanders.
