DGSM Prescribed Infringement Notices (On the Spot Fines)

The Dangerous Goods Safety Management (DGSM) legislation prescribes offences against the Act and Regulation, and provides for penalties in event of prosecution.

In addition, infringement notices (‘on the spot’ fines) can be issued for some offences, in accordance with the Sate Penalties Enforcement Act 1999.

Current ‘on the spot’ fines for DGSM are listed in the State Penalties Enforcement Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 2004. To view these, click here. Each Penalty Unit is equivalent to $75.00.
