Emergency Management Queensland Community Safety Initiatives

The Department’s Emergency Management Queensland (EMQ) Division provides prevention and mitigation strategies aimed at reducing the risk to Queensland communities from fire, flood, storm surge, cyclone, and other emergency and disaster situations.
                                     
The strategies also aim to improve the capacity of communities to respond to an emergency or disaster through the development of disaster recovery plans.
