Our Services
Emergency Management Queensland (EMQ) coordinates Queensland emergency and disaster management arrangements and disaster mitigation programs. EMQ provides the core staffing for the Queensland Disaster Management System and manages the State Emergency Service (SES), Emergency Service Unit volunteers (ESU), Emergency Helicopter Services and Emergency Services Cadets. EMQ supports community and contract helicopter providers and manages government support to Volunteer Marine organisations such as Volunteer Marine Rescue Association Queensland (VMRAQ), Australian Volunteer Coast Guard Association (AVCGA), Surf Lifesaving Queensland (SLSQ) and Royal Life Saving Society Queensland Inc (RLSSQ). Regional operations are delivered from seven regions in Brisbane, Central, Far Northern, North Coast, Northern, South East and South West.
