EMERGENCY ALERT for Moreton Bay Coastal Areas


A storm tide EMERGENCY ALERT has been issued for the Moreton Bay Coastal Areas.

Emergency services have advised a storm surge WATCH and ACT message is current for the Moreton Bay coastal areas, which could be affected by a dangerous storm tide at 10am on Sunday 27 January. It is expected this will be half a metre higher than the previous day.

People in the affected areas are asked to take action and warn their neighbours, secure their properties and move their friends or family if they are concerned about their safety. The community will be notified when there is no longer a storm tide threat.
