EMERGENCY ALERT for Ipswich as at 12:20pm

The Department of Community Safety would like to advise:
A flooding emergency alert has been issued by the Ipswich Local Disaster Management Group for the Bremer River and Ipswich City region.
The Bremer River is expected to peak at 6pm.
People in flood prone or low lying areas should consider evacuation or seek higher ground now. An Evacuation Centre has been established at the Ipswich Show Grounds.

Only call Triple Zero (000) if you or your property is in danger or if someone is injured.
The community will be notified when there is no longer a flooding threat.
