The Department of Community Safety's Media and Corporate Communications (MACC) branch is a unit of specialist staff skilled in media, public relations, marketing, sponsorship, graphic design and event management. The publications of Emergency and Corrections News are also published by MACC.

The media team is on stand-by 24/7, ready and able to assist operational and support staff in liaising with media and ensuring information is communicated to the wider public in a timely and accurate manner.

Based at the DCS headquarters in Kedron, the media team is made up of experienced journalists and communications specialists who are available to liaise with media around the clock. The team can be contacted on (07) 3635 3310 for media enquiries on significant matters.
