UPDATE: Beachmere (north of Brisbane) bushfire


Four Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS) crews remain on scene at a bushfire in the vicinity of Beachmere Road and Wallace Road, Beachmere (north of Brisbane). The fire, which broke out on Saturday, 1 December around 2.30pm is burning safely within containment lines and is not threatening any property at this time. Crews are patrolling the area and damping down hot spots. A large smoke haze can still be seen in the area and motorists are advised to drive to conditions. Residents are advised to keep their doors and windows closed and if they suffer from respiratory illnesses, keep medication close by. If you feel your home is at threat, dial Triple Zero (000).
