Bucca (Bundaberg) – bushfire

Six Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS) crews are on scene at a bushfire in the vicinity of Bluegum Road, Bucca. Crews were first called to the fire around 9am. Firefighters are currently conducting backburning to strengthen containment lines. There is currently no immediate threat to properties in the area but the fire is causing a large smoke haze. Motorists in the area are advised to drive to conditions. Residents are advised to keep their doors and windows closed and if they suffer from respiratory illnesses, keep medication close by.
