State Planning Policy 1/03: Mitigating the Adverse Impacts of Flood, Bushfire and Landslide

On 19 May 2003, the Honourable Nita Cunningham, Minister for Local Government and Planning adopted the SPP 1/03 under the Integrated Planning Act 1997 (IPA) with effect from 1 September 2003. SPP 1/03 is supported by State Planning Policy 1/03 Guideline: Mitigating the Adverse Impacts of Flood, Bushfire and Landslide (SPP 1/03 Guideline).

The SPP 1/03 and SPP 1/03 Guideline is a joint initiative between the Departments of Local Government and Planning and Emergency Services.
